Swollen Lymph Nodes?

How do you know your Lymph nodes are swollen in your neck, armpit, and groin? Are the swollen nodes visable to the eye or do you have to feel for them? Will swollen nodes in the neck make your neck stiff without having a sore throat or difficulty swollening?

i can attest to lymph nodes in the armpit, they swell up, mine were about the size of a golf ball,and hurt like crazy, they start out as an ache, but soon grow . at first the er doc lanced it and packed it with medicated gauze, and said he thought it was an ingrown hair folical. o how wrong he turned out to be, another reason for second opinions. i would imagine the same would happen with the other lymph nodes in your body.hope this helpped some, good luck
