I can't speak of any knowledge of HIV induced floaters or how they come about, but I do know the possibility of having any symptoms other than ARS early in infection is pretty low.
I myself have had floaters since I was about 7 years old. There are many other reasons a person gets them. If everyone with floaters (or any other HIV symptom, for that matter) had HIV the planet would be wiped out. Don't put too much stock into any symptom.

There is no such thing as HIV-induced floaters. Floaters can be a symptom of CMV which someone who has a severly compromised immune system can get, not just HIV but any immune system problems. Most times, however, floaters are just buildup on the eye that casts a "shadow" over the retina. They are actually very normal and really only need to be brought to the attention of your eye doctor if you start seeing multiple floaters all of a sudden or flashes of light (like lightning) which would signal possible retinal detachment (not HIV).

A heartfelt congrats on your negative test. I'm going through worrying myself and I sure hope I join you in the ex-worried wells file.
