how can i move on

i had a hiv test 2 years ago one was at 3 months the other 9 months both which were neg. from a guy i was with for years. can i assume if he had hiv that i did not get it from him. not sure about testing guidelines. please help.

If you were tested three months after your last possible exposure with your ex boyfriend, you are negative. Almost all people show antibodies to the virus by the three month window period. You say that you were also tested 9 months after possible exposure with him... If you had no other encounters which might have put you at risk for contracting the virus during this time... these results are definitely conclusive. You are negative.
