A.R.S. Symptoms
      #94036 - 04/01/04 04:52 AM

I want to share something that has personaly happened to me and obviously most people who post on these boards. Whenever you or I have a sexual encounter, just expect to get flu symptoms or some other "so called" A.R.S. related symptoms, either real or imagined, within 1 hour to 6 weeks from exposure. Period. It never ever seems to fail. I had a very low risk encounter in December and got sick the following day and stayed sick for a solid month. To this day I still have a burning mouth and tongue and my lips are still dry and of course we all know from the internet that burning mouth syndrome in a male and dry mouth is an A.R.S.or H.I.V./A.I.D.S. symptom right? Now I am not a sexually promiscuous person, however I did engage in a "High Risk" activity 7 weeks ago and wouldn't you know it? 6 weeks later I have the flu again and a killer sinus infection which I have never had in my life. Must be A.R.S. right? partner just tested negative and I have been the only man or woman that they have been with in the last 5 months. My 2 flus' were nothing but 2 flus' close together. My sinus infection was nothing but a secondary infection from my 2nd flu and my burning mouth is nothing but anxiety and my dry lips are nothing but dry lips from a New England winter. I returned from clinic tonight and feel great. I need to go back tomorrow for some blood work but at least I know that it is not A.R.S. My point is that it always is A.R.S. when it isn't A.R.S. and always plan to get sick within 1 hour to 6 weeks after exposure. I love you all. Thank You.
