Sex while on Period

I was wondering if the chances of woman contracting HIV increases if she has intercourse with a HIV+ partner while on her period? I have'nt had much luck finding anything on that, so I would really appriciate it if someone could answer this question for me.

My guess is that the risk is no higher with or without the period issue. Bottom line, if the woman has unprotected sex with a male whom she definitely knows is hiv poz, then its high risk activity and she should get tested at 12 weeks post-exposure and use barrier methods of protection at least until the 12 weeks is over.
