Prostitutes? HELP!

Hi all,
I have a terrible fear of being infected with HIV. About four years ago, I had sex with three different prostitutes (In Holland, I'm Dutch). Two times she satisfied me orally, one time vaginally. I am almost certain that I used condoms (I can't imagine that I didn't) but since it is a long time ago, I'm not 100% certain. These three times are the only sex I EVER had. Since then, I became a Christian and wanted to wait until marriage.
That time has come now :-) I am going to marry a wonderful woman and the last thing I want is to infect her with HIV. I am terribly afraid I might be infected. What do you think my chances are? I feel terribly guilty...

It is very hard to answer your question with any sort of definitiveness. I guess a number of questions are important here: first, did you or didnt you have protected sex (if this is the only 3 times you ever had sex, my guess is that you would recall). Typically professionals require use of condoms most of the time anyways.
Second, did you have any illness within a few weeks of any of these encounters that would lend itself to hiv?
Bottom line, female to male transmission of this virus is very ineffective and a very very very low risk no matter what. I know you probably dont want to hear this, but the only sure way to know is to get tested. However, I strongly suspect you have nothing to be concerned about.

Thanks for your reply. I don't think I need to worry about the times they satisfied me orally. And I am not 100% certain that I used a condom when I had 'real' sex (my penis in her vagina). But I can't imagine that I didn't. I haven't thought of it until recently, actually, and I don't remember any illness I had afterwards. However, I do have a 'white' tong, but I think I had that my whole life. Oh, and right now, I have a cold and I am a bit tired, but that may be from my worrying... I do know that I am terribly afraid. Do you think I have a chance of being HIV-positive?

Not really, but a simple test would put you at ease and start your marriage of monogamy off right.

I am in the exact situation like you. I had protected sex with prostitutes in the Far East where HIV infection is much much higher than USA. I had been living in HIV shadow since then(two months). Now I want to start a family and I don't want to spread it to my loved one. It seems that I feel fine up to now, not having any major discomfort like headache, fever, rash except for one time skin problem which is considered "normal" by my family doctor. I don't know where to move now??? Thanks.

Well, the only way to know and stop worriyng is testing. Im sure youre negative. Go ahead and get tested.
