Can somebody tell me the accuracy of DNA PCR Qualitative tests? If they are accurate when should they be got done at the earliest? I have read that they are not advised due to high false positive results. If so, then if result is negative is it conclusive? Please advise.

PCR DNA tests are fairly accurate after 28 days. The problem with them is that they are extremely sensitive and have been known to have false-positives. And they are not a conclusive test. Only a three-month negative Elisa is conclusive.

The last post was b.s. A pcr only picks up the main strands of hiv if they are detectable. This is by no means deffinitive of a negative status.
