I am a hetero man (42) who has only had protected vaginal sex in the last 15 years or so-seriously. I have also had a few ( less than 5) episodes onf giving oral on a woman w/out a dental dam. I have never done drugs, has a blood transfusion or been with a man. I have had my "fair share" of partners, some just one time flings. I have never had a condom fail on me either. When all is and done, am I at risk for HIV? I don't see how as I have always used latex protection. My doctor is trying to tell me that I'm fine as well.
The bulk of my activity was from 94-99. Since then I have been either celibate of with one person I know.

Since nothing is 100% certain in regards to HIV infection, I advocate yearly testing even if consistant protection is used.
That being said, I think you have no reason to worry.
Cheers
