swollen lymph nodes

recently i have been experiencing swollen lymph nodes that are painful under my left arm then it will go away a few days later and appear under my right arm a few weeks later.they started when i was carrying my son last year and i associated it with strong deordorants. i had this when i was younger but never this frequent please someone tell me is this serious?
