Hi, I had a possible exposure about 7 months ago. After that, I developed aches and pains all over my body as well as tiny red spots on both of my thighs. My stomach had a really "sour" feeling for about a week and I went to the doctor. I didn't feel hot, but my temperature was over 100 that time. Those body aches lasted for a couple months, then went away. I took an antibody test at about 5 1/2 months (negative). However, those body aches came back again, although not as bad. Anyone know what could be the cause. Should I still be concerned for HIV? Could body aches occur in people infected with HIV at 7 months?

did you ever ges result tested for other stds?? 5 and half month result should be conclusive. The other reason is you may stress too much. I guess you will prefer to get another test after all and most people became addicted to test.

The fact that you are back on this board after being negative at 5 1/2 months indicates that you are still (WRONGFULLY) afraid that you have HIV. YOU DO NOT!!!!
It is absolutely impossible that your joint aches at 7 months, which have come and gone, are related to HIV. ARS does not manifest itself that way. Face it you are negative.
Anyway, as for the back and body aches and pains, take a moment to read the books of Dr. John Sarno. He explains how stress, and repressing it, causes all kinds of pains, especially back pains and joint pains. IT IS THE STRESS / GUILT THAT YOU STILL HAVE THAT ARE CAUSING YOUR SYMPTOMS. Good luck in putting this behind you. All of our thoughts are with you. Do yourself a favor. Never enter the words HIV into your computer again. GOOD LUCK!

Do you know of other STD's that may cause aches? I didn't notice any discharge from my penis or any lesions or anything. Thanks.

Thanks for the message. I guess it could be some stress. I'm not really stressing over HIV too much anynore after the test result. But it does come up im my mind once in a while when I feel aches like this. How are you doing? Hope everything's good.

If you have no discharge or urinary discomfort, Gonnorhea is out. But, aches and pains in back and joints along with rash on thighs is a hallmark of herpes. You might want to get tested for that. There's nothing you can do about it, and it's really just a nuisance thing, but that would tell you if you had it or not.
Most likely it's just a minor virus or stress. Gary
