I had a guy put his penis up against my anus, there was no penetration, say my anus came into contact with his precum does that means I had a good chance of getting HIV?
When I read the forum on thebody.com, they often say mucous membrane exsist in your anus/rectum, does that mean the area just outside the opening is also a mucosal surface? I am really confused and anxious.
I was nearly raped by someone I know and that was what happened; he pressed his penis against my anus, but I manage to prevent the penetration by reacting very strongly. I feel I can't trust anyone anymore, please help~~

Your risk is very low, but you probably should get tested anyway. If he had a high viral load and you happened to have any open skin in that area it is possible, but not likely, that you could get infected. Hopefully you do not have any anal tears, hemmorroids or genital warts in that area.
So sorry to hear about this for you. Please find someone to talk to about it. If you are female there are great rape crisis centers in moat large cities and if you are male you sould seek help from a therapist. Both groups should go to the police. You are a victim here.

Pre cum is an iffy thing... If it got inside you then that would be considered a risk... but if it did not.. then I would not worry about it cause the hiv can't get through the skin around that area unless it gets inside you... hope that helps... CP

Thanks guys for being so helpful and kind! I feel you should share my story and learn what you can from it.
It was a usual night out, when out with my friends but I was the driver that night so I drove my friends to this club but it was the first night out since the summer hoilday, loads of my mates were buying me drinks... so I ended up getting over the limit. Being a responsible driver I ask a friend I know who lives only 10 minutes away to come and pick up my car and I will stay round his for the night....
I went to his house, they were having a house party and the lounge where I was going to sleep was full of people, so this friend of mine asked me to use his room and he will sleep in the lounge when they finish the party.
So I got undressed and slept in my friend's bed, I only had my boxers on at the time, and the next thing I know he was trying to have sex with me, he was rubbing his penis against me.... I reacted very strongly and ended up running away from the house and drove home!
I feel someone broke the trust I gave to them and I feel depressed and anxious and is currently going through a lot of emotions, afterall I was nearly raped.
As you already gathered I am very concern I might have caught HIV or something else from him since I found out he was gay. So far after 10 weeks I have no symptoms of STD or flu, and everybody I have spoken to have been really supportive. This includes the various counceller I have spoken to. They all assured me that if no penetration occured, then I probably would not have caught HIV, although other things could be transmitted this way, but I am hoping, just hoping he didn't have anything!
Anyway this is my story, I am going to wait till 3 months and get a test done.... I do find it really difficult to find the courage, but I will try to find the strenght.
Yes I am a guy by the way, not a gay one and have never been homophobic... I do feel they have the right to do what makes them happy. But I will now think twice before trusting someone, cause someone breaking my friendship trust hurts, alot.

Dear Anon,
I am sorry for your dilemma it is very sad to hear your story, however, precum is ejaculate and considered fluid; there is no measure in the moments of passion what comes first the "chicken or the egg" this is considered ejaculate, and high risk IF HE HAD penetrated you, and or if there were cuts, tears, or insertion.

I do not suffer from hemorroid, fissure etc and I don't think I had cut at the time. And I am sure he did not penetrate me coz I think I would have felt it.
Do you think mine was a low risk or high risk exposure, I have heard HIV is only know to be transmitted through anal, viginal and oral sex and I think those didn't apply to me, what do you think??
