Help - P24 Antigen detectability
      #77931 - 11/08/03 03:31 PM

7 weeks post exposure, but with a negative antibody test, wouldnt you expect the P24 Antigen test to be positive, especially if you have been symptomatic? Thanks who ever responds to this.

Why take a test that will give you the same negative results the antibody test will. If you are symptomatic and actually infected, you will have antibodies that will be detected. If you are symptomatic and not infected, you will show no antibodies and it was all in your head.
TRUST THE TESTS
You don't have to take a DNA/PCR, Amgen or WB, the antibodies test is accurate and will detect if you are actually infected. There is no such thing ad a 3mo false negative.
