My question is this...........I had a potentially high-risk exposure 2 weeks ago. I visited Mexico, ate some shady food and drank margeritas. The day after I had diarrhea.....no other symptoms. Then the next day, arond 7 PM, all of a sudden I got nauseaus, had fever, chills, dry heaving and rash (possibly from sleeping and rolling around in sweat). I had no sore throat or swollen glands. The next day, everything was gone except for a queezy stomach. Does this sound like ARS or more likely a coincidental food poisoning around the same time ARS would show????? Please help!

What was your exposure?
Don't base your HIV status on symptoms, doctors don't even do that. The symptoms you descibe came on and went away way too soon. ARS typically begins 2-4 weeks after exposure and clears up on its own in 2 weeks.
