risks involved with cunnilingus?

Hi,
I have recently become involved with a woman who is HIV+. We have gotten to a point in our relationship where we have started to become sexually active. Myself being negative, we have taken all the percautions necessary to avoid my becoming infected. I always have felt for her as she, being HIV positive, feels "dirty."
I would like to show her a bit of intimacy that she feels that is no longer available to her. Of course the last thing she wants is for me to become infected.
What I am wondering is if it is known how "risky" cunnilingus is? Its an intimacy I'd like to share with her...of course as long as it would be considered a minimal risk on my part. I don't know how the science world views this practice in terms of risk for transmittion, however.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

God bless people that can look beyond the disease and see a person. We need more people like you in the world.
There is a risk. People have become infected from giving oral sex. However, there are only a few cases in the last 20 years. Only you can decide how much risk is comfortable for you. I have heard that some people use a dental dam to help protect themselves.
I'm assuming your girlfriend is under an ID specialist care. If not, she needs to be. Why not go with her to her next appointment and ask her doctor what's the best way to reduce your risk or if her appointment is not soon, she could call him.
PS: Do me a favor. Tell your girlfriend she doesn't need to feel 'dirty' about her disease. There are too many of us for any of us to feel shame about it.
