sore tongue

i had a few risks of unsafe sex practices a year ago and recently my tongue became "fissured and cracked all over " it sometimes tends to feel warm like a heating sensation. does this sound in any way like hiv infection? i went to a Dr and he said it was something called " geographic tongue" and it would go away but it still exists and it has me scared to death ! if anyone would reply to this it would be greatly appreciated.

this isn't anything ive heard of in the "regular symptoms" category. if you had unsafe sex though, you should still get tested not only for hiv but for all the other stds out there. tell the doctor about your fears and so on and so forth and they'll be very kind and test you for these stds.
remember that a lot of stds dont create symptoms in people so you may have something even though its probably not hiv. get tested to be sure though!

Ive heard of a geographic tongue, but only in advanced illness.. look up http://hivdent.com, this will show you pictures of the tongue. Get a test at 3mo and another at 6mo.. good luck my friend, and try not to waste your life worrying..
