I have come down with herpes and ebv at the same time and started taking acyclvoir immeadiately. Could this medication, coupled with the other infections cause me to not develope antibodies for hiv if I got that also. Could it cause the production to be slower than normal?

I'm wondering the same thing only not with the same drugs. I'm wondering about antibiotics that I had to take for another infection. The doctor gave me amoxillin, ampicillin, and ampicloxillin. Would any of these antibiotics, or just any healing drugs in general, cause the seroconversion period to be longer?

antibiotics have no effect on virial infections. Antiviral drugs have a lmited effect in slowing down the replication process (I think). I know that acyclvoir slows the spread and quickens the body's response to things such as herpes. My question about time has to do with that and with other simultaneous infections. The more microbes my immune system has to deal with, with a limited number of t-cells, it would seem as though the body would develope fewer antibodies to each. Is that accurate?

None of us are doctors here. I think that it would be unfair for us to try to answer that question. I don't think that some doctors would be able to do that. I don't want to discourage anyone from coming on here and asking any question, but I think you need to discuss this with a health care professional, not here. Good luck and God Bless
