for years i've had an acquaintance who i was well aware was big on cocaine. i'm completely out of my head because after 6 years of trust he took advantage of me. i've been told that because the pipes get so hot it causes their mouths to bleed (i in fact remember seeing it once, it was quite blistered up), and the blood on the pipes passes hiv. Is it possible that the warmth of the pipe allows the virus to live in the air?

your risk is low. you could catch herpes that way, but to say you got hiv, did he have blood coming from his lips? if not, then your risk is very,very low. if so, then you should be worried and take a test. out to 3 months, you will be o.k. if there was no blood present, i woudnt sress to much, you are o.k. just stay away from the crack. you are most likely to lose money than get hiv from sharing a pipe. take care
