low white blood count PLEASE ANSWER
      #66678 - 07/01/03 09:52 AM

Tested negative after window period but having low white blood count 3.8 and out of range monocytes(1400) out of 7500. Any idea of what I could ask my doctor what the problem is? Can hiv progress to aids without coming up positive on the antibody test? Thank you.

NO. If you were pos 3 months after exposure then your test would have said so.It's unwise to ask people in here about why you have low white blood count as there are a number of reasons why and that wouldn't be much help to you since you'd have to see a doctor anyway.HIV is not your concern since you test was neg after 3 months.Dont go placing crazy thoughts in your head thinking what if the test didnt detect it and that it will somehow develope into aids without you knowing, thats just crazy talk.Stay well now :)

Your test was negitive after 3 months,YOU ARE HIV NEGITIVE.ok?.As for your low white blood count who knows you need to get some tests done for that but since its not hiv then dont bother asking in here unless there's a specialist in here on that I'm unaware of which I doubt.Be happy your hiv neg thats a good start.
