I had unprotected sex with my ex girlfriend about 2 months ago.But 2 weeks after sleeping with her,I noticed I had a discharge from my penis. It got worse and I went to my GUM clinic.I was tested for gonnerea and chlymidia and given some antibiotics called Doxycycline. When I went back a week later for my test results I was told they were negative. The symptons had also cleared up 90%.A few days later the discharge was getting worse again.I went back to my doctor who tested me again and gave me another type of antibiotic called Ciprofloxacin.Again my results were negative and again the discharge seemed to disappear,my doctor told me I was fine and did not need to make another appointment. But a month on I still don t think I am alright, the opening of my penis seems to be closed.and when forced a clear sticky fluid can be visible,I am very concerned, please can you help me,I need some advice.Thankyou

how long did u take the antibiotics for? It should be taken at for 4 to 6 weeks at least and if it reappears you should follow it with another dose. is there any pain associated with the discharge?

There is no pain, but it sometimes looks a bit red.The doctor told me to take the tablets twice a day for 1 week. The second time I went back he gave me a different tablet, but he also gave me a weeks dose twice a day again. He said they were the best availible and I wouldn t need to go back again. That is why I am worried.

it is a good sign that there is no pain. However, one week of medications is not enough, i can assure you that. I think you should have a second opinion.
