How soon and how late can people start showing symptoms of ARVS? Thanks.

ARS or Acute retroviral syndrome generally shows up 3-4 weeks after exposure. It seems to mimic a really, really bad flu (high fever, sore throat, body aches, fatigue, swollen glands, rash), but goes away in about a week. Please get tested if you are worried. These symptoms are VERY, VERY common and chances are you could have all of them and still just have the flu or a virus. Get tested and don't worry about the symptoms. Most new generation Elisa tests will pick up antibody production after 5 weeks. 12 week test past exposure is considered conclusive.
Any more questions? Just post. Good luck
PS. What was your possible exposure?
