Does anybody know if having diabetes would effect hiv antibody production after infection??? I'm a juvenile diabetic who tested negative (ELISA) at 6 weeks and i'm so scared that my body hadn't developed antibodies yet. Please let me know if anyone has an answer!!! thanks!

As I'm sure you know Diabetes has to do with the body's ability to process sugar and regulate insulin. It doesn't affect the body's ability to product antibodies. A 6 week negative is a great sign that you will also test negative at 12 weeks.
