What is the normal time that acute symptoms will show after HIV has been transmitted, I have heard anything from a few days to 6 weeks, whats the average? Is a blocked up runny nose a symptom, I had flu 48 hrs after an encounter with a female colleague.

ARS occurs 2 - 4 weeks after exposure. That flu 48 hours after must have been just the flu.

Is it true if you have contracted HIV, you get a sore throat the morning after?
