Hello, I was wondering is a negative hiv blood test almost one year and a half after exposure with no further exposures truly conclusive? Or could a person possibly years later show up hiv positive? I heard a person say it can possibly take up to five years after exposure to finally show up positive. Thanks for your responses and GOD Bless all. Be safe and protected.

Whoever told you it can take up to 5 years to show up positive is sadly misinformed. The window period is only 3 months from the time of exposure. A negative test after that point is conclusive.
