How long do I have to wait to test for other STD's besides HIV?

herpes antibodies can be detected via blood tests about 12 -14 weeks after exposure. 12 weeks is usually enough time for a person who has never been exposed to herpes to build antibodies by then but - get tested for herpes1 and herpes2. you can have either orally or genitally and get the sores cultured -if you have them.
if you have the sores cultured as soon as they appear - then its right away or as soon as the lab does the test on the culutre.
