Quest Numbers: Source?
      #59320 - 02/22/03 08:26 PM

I frequently see numbers quoted, supposedly from Quest, regarding the accuracy of their antibody tests from 1-3 months.

On this board, people have quoted Quest as stating a 98.5% accuracy at 6 weeks, for instance.

I have searched, and cannot find a primary source for these numbers.

Is this just some rumor, or are there credible sources for this?

How much difficult is it to just test for viral loads?Would this type of test be more accurate?

Please - don't group me with the nuts, doubters, and skeptics!

I don't mean that I'm skeptical of testing or that I don't think HIV is the virus that causes AIDS or anything like that:

I just like to know the sources for information -- especially important information.

Anyone have any sources for the Quest quotes?
