      #58154 - 02/12/03 07:14 AM

Hello ,
I really stressing out over here. This week will be exactly 4 weeks post exposure for me .Can anybody tell me how accurate the test wil be , in the event that i took it.

Also , have there been any documented cases of people testing negative prior to the 2 month period and positive post 2 month period .

I really need to test to get this off my mind !!

Please help !

Thanks !!

There are NO solid numbers that I know of.

The CDC has said that a 3 month test (90 days) is considered 99% conclusive. Anything prior to that has so many factors that it's impossible to calculate.

I know it's hard to wait 3 months to find out but there's not much you can do.

Can you share with us your exposture maybe we can put your mind at ease if we knew more about how you felt you were exposed.

well struggling with the same question here, but from what I know 95% of people will show postive in 25 days.
The conclusive number is 90 days, going with 49 days here.
hang in there.

Hi ! I was the one that started this post........actually i have posted here in the past regarding my NGU infection through a protective vaginal and unprotected oral encounter with a female sex worker in a high risk area (indonesia).

I made a typo error earlier , it has been exactly 8 weeks since my exposure. I really feel the need to test badly to get this off my chest.......

if it will ease your mind - get tested.
it will be a good indication of your results to come which will be negative.
some countries only test till 8 weeks - i think if you search on sweden in the search box you will see posts.
but do also test at 3 months - test at 90 days and then move on
