hi all,my questin is reguarding flaoters,i have them and they are like quite bad when i look at something bright like sunlight or snow,well i have tested neg at 4 months for hiv 1-2,also took test for hiv 1 again,neg,my question is can hiv 2 cause these floaters,also i have low grade feaver and body ache,the feaver comes and goes, so does the pain,i dont know what to do,i am waithing for my hiv -2 test results,they are due back on tuesday,i'm very very scared,my sexual exposure did not happen in us,but in some other country,thats why i worry about hiv-2. has anyone here experienced the same knid of symptoms.then please help.

Floaters are extremely common and can occur for a variety of reasons that have nothing to do with HIV. People have dealt with them longer than HIV has been around.
Matter of fact, floaters are never directly related to HIV infection. Some HIV+ people that have a CD4 count under 100 may experience floaters due to the opportunistic infection CMV Retinitis. However the floaters are a symptom of CMV, not HIV.
Once again, low grade fevers and body aches are not indicitive of HIV infection. They are very common symptoms for any number of illnesses and conditions.
I'm sure your test results will confirm what your already conclusive results showed. You are negative.

hi thanks for taking the time to answer,i read about you in the i'm positive foroum,well i have to say that you are one brave woman,well i keep thinking that what if i was neg at 4 months and positive at 6,have you ever heard of that happening to anyone, last night i also had a very mild night sweat,well when i start adding up these symptoms,i can only come up with conclusion,that is hiv.its bben very very difficult for me to wait for my results,i called the lab like 4 times,each time they tell me that its going to take 4 days.this anxiety is realy making me go bonkers.

floaters are brought on by stress, i have had them and tested neg 3 different times, dont you worry...
