Two q&a for the paper guy
      #5642 - 06/14/00 12:49 PM

Dear Paper Guy, i have this two q&a, answered by Dr. Gallant about your obssesion:

QUESTION:

Where do you put "fingering" on HIV transmission risk categories? HIV can be passed on by inserting fingers into vagina? Thanks for your wonderful answers

ANSWER:

HIV does not penetrate intact skin. You can't get HIV from touching infected bodily fluids.

QUESTION:

Dear Sir,I knew I a little about how HIV transmit from one person to another person. I do not know if touch blood or semen someone that already infected HIV by our finger, we will have HIV or not? Would appreciate your answer.

ANSWER:

HIV does not penetrate intact skin. You can't get HIV from touching infected bodily fluids.

Go take a look at hopkins-aids.com, the q&a section. But dont bother Dr. Gallant asking him questions. In fact very probably he will not answer you but its annoying to Dr. Gallant be receiving these obssesive questions.

Excuses, i paste the same answer for another question. Here is it:

Where do you put "fingering" on HIV transmission risk categories? HIV can be passed on by inserting fingers into vagina? Thanks for your wonderful answers

Provided there are no open sores or cuts, fingering definitely qualifies as safe sex. Latex gloves are unnecessary, and unless you're a fetishist, they would turn sex into something far too clinical.

How can anyone answer this question?!?!?

I mean, it doesn't make sense! A cut is a cut! And intact skin is intact!

Actually, to illustrate my point a bit further, I'll use a statement similar to your question. Skin is cut when there is a cut on it. And skin is intact when there is no cut on it.
