Hello ,
I was diagnosed with an STD 3 weeks ago.Have healed from it as well , after taking the antibiotics.Now the doctor, handed me a phamplet about Syphillis. He told me that i would have to come back in another 3 months to have my blood checked for Syphillis.
I do not have any of the symptoms ( chancres...etc)that are described for this disease.It been 3 weeks now , what are the chances that i have contracted this disease ?

Syphillis will show in ONE month time. I don't understand the proposal by your doctor. You better check a second opinion.

If you contracted an STD is good to get your blood tested for everything blood born like HIV and Syphliss just as a precaution. Syphliss is not too common anymore, especially in the heterosexual population but there has been a recent surge in gay men. At 90 days post exposure, have your blood drawn for everything, just to be safe.
