Hello all ,

I had an encounter with a sex worker 2 years ago. I contracted Herpes from that incident(from a failed condom). I went for the anonymous testing at AFA after 3 months and it came out negative. Never went for a test after that.

Other than that , I have not had any encounters with sex workers for the last 2 years or prior to that , period. I know you must be wondering why I had to be so stupid enough to expose myself to such a risk again. I am still trying to find out myself.

I recently , had an encounter with another sex worker (protected sex & unprotected oral sex), which led to me getting NGU.This happened just last week.

What I am really concerned about is that during foreplay , my penis may have accidentally glided across her vagina.( I am very sure I never penetrated WITHOUT a condom ). We had vaginal sex on 2 separate occasions (in one night) with 3 separate condoms(durex).

As for the oral sex , I performed cunnillingus and some rimming on 1 occasion that lasted for 2 seconds ( she didn’t allow me to go on.) . As for her , it was 2 occasions , when she performed oral sex on me that lasted for 5 -10 seconds each. Much of the foreplay ( which included the oral sex ) , involved deep mouth kissing and fondling . We did however sleep together in the nude for the rest of the night .

I never once ejaculated throughout the whole episode.

Does it take a “significant amount” of the virus to be exchanged to facilitate an infection ? I heard somewhere that one’s immune system is able to fight off the initial infection , almost killing off the HIV.
I guess I’m trying to narrow down the NGU infection to just the oral sex ..

Also , in my whole life , I have had only 2 encounters with sex workers , with less than intense sexual activity. I know that this sounds like I’m trying almost to convince myself that there is absolutely no risk , but I need to just talk about this.
