Can someone say what the highest risk they saw on this board and the person still tested negative?

It might be a bit easier to just tell us your risk and get responses to that. But come to think of it, I believe I've heard or read of people having UNprotected sex with prostitutes and coming away clean as a whistle. So who knows. No matter how big a risk is, there's always a good chance of remaining uninfected. Just depends on how lucky you think you are I guess. Best thing to do is always protect yourself to the best of your ability.

my risk was unprotected sex. (hetero)
I have developed a sore throat and night sweats 3 weeks later. I can't sleep.
I don't think I have a fever, and if I do it is a low grade one. Don't most people typically get a real bad fever? How bad is the fever?

Please do not try and diagnose yourself by symptoms alone. You can have one of a thousand virus's mimic supposed HIV/AIDS symptoms. Female to male transmission is extremely rare on a one time occasion. Please get tested to put your mind at ease.

He/she is correct. i worried myself into having night sweats. I was so sonsumed with the thought i had HIV, i started having night sweats and it was a vicious cycle from there...until i got my negative test result. Guilt can really play with your mind...you are in all likelyhood...fine.

When you say sex was hetero, it depends on whether you are a man or women. Huge difference. Women can be infected instantly, and with men it is pretty rare.

The highest risk is for females having heterosexual sex. Second risk is for people that have gay sex.
