ARS question
      #4888 - 06/04/00 10:48 PM

I have some questions regarding ARS. Is it always accompanied by a high fever? If so, what is regarded as a high fever? Secondly, how long does it last, how intense is it, and approxmately how long after exposure does it occur? Thanks.

check some earlier posts of mine, but the experts at Mass General said that "if you have ARS, you know it." it's like a terrible bad flu. fever in the 100s, aches and pains, lymphs, possibly a rash, etc.

fever is the key; the others follow.

Please people dont waste your time reading Sawdasky. Man is he annoying! First, HE IS NOT A DOCTOR. Second he likes answering questions by cut and paste system so all answers look alike. Third: All he will say is: all symptoms look alike. This doesnt seem related to hiv however it could be. In many few occasion he says its not related but most of the times he says...well it could be. And all his answers are: GET TESTED so you will know if the symptoms were hiv related or not. QUESTION ABOUT A RISK: Ha! To Mr. Sadawsky everything is relative, maybe yes, maybe not, but, oh yes,GET TESTED so you will know. Everything is relative. He answer like this: your risk is relatively low. What the hell is that? If something is relatively low then is no low! And when he get a complex question then he just cut a paste a 3 criteria or situation in wich there is or there could be a risk. The thing is that he is SO GENERIC. Man. Of course, he is no doctor.
LISTEN> Im not telling not to read he. Go on and read him. But he doesnt do thing with love. Like Dr. Gallant every answer is different even if he is saying the same thing. Like Dr. Feinberg, like Dr. Holodny, like Dr. Cohen and many more. Even the guy at hivinsite.com.
Sadawsky is so generic, besides he lack from a global or total vision because he is no doctor. But go ahead read it but dont expect to find many new info or something you havent heard before.
NOTE: Even all that stuff I have said he as do many other people are doing a great job helping people and giving their time. And of course he knows a lot more than we do but its far behind, in my opinion, to a real hiv specialist doctor and some of Sadawsky reasonings i really dont share. Ok.
