My girlfriend is suffering with vaginal candidiasis.I read in many pages that it could be the first sign for HIV.She had a test for HIV and it was negative. Please give me some information, im worried for her and myself.Could the test be wrong and candidiasis be the sign for HIV? What else can cause vaginal candidiasis and what are the symptoms

Vaginal Candidasis is just a yeast infection, isn't it? If your girlfriend tested HIV negative, she's ok! I don't know what else causes candidasis, but I don't think it's common to get that with HIV infection until the disease has progressed quite a bit. So, if she recently tested negative and you have no other reason to believe she is HIV positive, I wouldn't worry!

If she tested negative very unlikely to be hiv related.

if candida in the vigina reoccur after treatment or does not respond to treatment, then you have someting to worry about. Candida/thrush inhibits the vigina and could be triggired by various reasons than HIV. If the test is negative and candida is cured after medication then do not worry at all.
