Read TRUTH, what they don't want the public to know! In developed world, vaginal secretions are not infecting men as statistics have shown. Vaginal secretions carry virus in 50% to 60% of women studied, YET the AMOUNT of virus is QUITE SMALL! READ words of top HIV expert Dr. Gallant: "In our clinic and in our country as a whole, most heterosexual men with HIV became infected either through sex with OTHER MEN or through injection-DRUG USE. Most women with HIV ARE infected either though injection-drug use OR through heterosexual contack with men who have one of the risk factors I just mentioned. In the United States and other developed countries, heterosexual sex is MUCH MORE effecient at transmitting HIV from MALE to FEMALE than from female to male. Lesbians are at lowest risk and second to lowest risk is HETEROSEXUAL MALES. Over last 10 years or so there has been a very steady increase in women who have acquired HIV through heterosexual contact, HOWEVER for men, HIV through heterosexual contact has STAYED STABLE. In MOST CASES patients who are infected through heterosexual contact ARE WOMEN WHOSE HUSBANDS OR BOYFRIENDS LIED ABOUT THEIR HIV STATUS, THEIR USE OF DRUGS, OR THEIR "BISEXUALITY". "ALL" OF MY MANY PATIENTS FALL INTO ONE OF THESE CATEGORIES: GAY MEN, INJECTION DRUG USER, OR WOMEN infected through HETEROSEXUAL CONTACT!

I don't think this is anything that people in here will argue over. Female to Male infection is very rare however not impossible even in the clip you posted from Dr. Gallant he said "MOST", which means that female to male does occure.
But it's good for some of the worry wells to consider how rare it is and to understand that it's not the high risk activity that some worry it is.
Thanks

I have read many articles that state that the biggest concern for female to male infection lies with men who are uncut. The inside of the forskin makes for an excellent transmission for the virus. Men who are cut don't have this factor to worry about.

But I think you have to take into consideration that other sexually transmitted diseases are very easily passed from female to male! That includes herpes, gonorrhea, syphillis, hpv etc. If heterosexual men would stop obsessing about HIV and realize that their risk from other stds is so much greater! Remember herpes is for life as are warts. And HPV has been linked to cancer.

I agree, men should worry about STD's that for men are easier to catch. If in a solid marriage, there should not be a concern though it seems.

Yes this is a problem with a question for Africa. There is great stigma there in admitting homosexuality, so many more men in Africa blame women for their infection instead of another man. The final answer on the foreskin membrane susceptibility I don't believe is in yet.

If the foreskin is able to be infected, then there is still the low amount of virus in females to consider.

Uncut DOES increase risk.
Femal to male infection? Magic Johnson, Tommy Morrison, Easy E, etc.
Not as efficient as male to female, but still very risky

It stands to reason that these famous men would not want to admit it if they had been with another man in the past, does it not.
