Ive had all the hiv symptoms and tested neg at 4 months,but just tested pos for cmv.Ive heard with cmv the symptoms can be the same as hiv.Does anyone have or know much about cmv is it a serious disease and how long do symptoms last with it im still having symptoms and its now going on 5 months.help please

If you've tested for HIV and are negative then you are negative. However most Americans test positive for CMV. YOu may have just gotten it...

No CMV is not serious in most people. Here is a link for an article from the CDC explaining what CMV is, etc.
