Assuming the male is the inserter, through any open sore or cut in his penis or through his urethra. I dont know how likely is the risk if someone touches with his hand infected fluids, tough, its been said its low risk or no risk at all.
Anyway, theres got to be an open "entry" in your body like a fresh cut, for example, to let the virus in. I may say the virus is microscopic, so for example, in something like a rain drop it can be millions and millions of hiv virus. Theres a lot of info in the body.com in q&a (safe sex)
