i'm hoping someone can clear this up for me. I had a blood transfusion done 6 years ago, i go in for regular hiv testing every 6 months. I read somewhere that if someone had a blood transfusion, the hiv negative result might be false. Is this true? has anyone else heard of this?

You must have misread something, or read something from a very unrealiable source. If HIV was transmitted via a blood transfusion it would show up just as quick on an antibody test as if it had been transmitted by any other way of transmission. 6 years of negative tests means you are certainly negative.
