Has there ever been a case where someone has tested negative out to 10 months post exposure and then later went on to test positive, with no further risks of exposure to HIV. Does Everybody make antibodies. Thanks

I think there has only been one or two reported cases were the people took longer than 12 months. There was a
nurse who posted here on The Body this year that "claims" to have had an occupational exposure...she also took meds and it took 18 months. This could be for several reasons, one of which is taking anti viral medication. The others could be because it was before the newer fourth generation tests, which are much more sensitive.

The fact is, if you got a test 10 months out and it was negative then you should move on with your life, because you're negative.
