Hello All,
Can somebody explain what a yeast infection looks like on the penis.
I had a risky sexual encounter and after few months the tip of my penis I see a few dots(just next to the penis slit). These dots are flat, dont hurt when touched and are white in color. But my penis tip hurts and burns. These are small in diameter, like a pinpoint. I have 3-4 clusters.
I have tested neg for HIV, and am hoping that this is not herpes or something. My doc looked at it and said it is yeast infection, but she was not confident.
Can somebody with yeast infection/or somebody who had yeast infection throw some light on this ??
Thanks.

A yeast infection is very easy to diagnose at least for women. I can't imagine it would be difficult to diagnose a man. Sometimes when a doctor isn't sure if a person has yeast or bacteria infection they will do a culture. If your doc didn't do a culture than she doesn't need one.

yeast infections in women burn and itch and looks like cottage cheese (sorry to be graphic)if you look up your vagina. men can get yeast infections but i dont know what they loook like on me but the dr should be able to do the same yeast culure as in women - its donee in the office and the results are right then and there - the yeast goes ugder a micrscope so, the dr can tell if it is yeast and what type of yeast. hope that helps some what ......
