I've read on reliable websites (webmd.com) that using a latex condom is 98-100 effective in preventing HIV infection. Has anyone ever been infected with HIV after having protected sex where there was no break or slips in the condom? Is it safe to assume that because I've always used a condom and have never had a slip/break, never performed oral sex without a condom, never used injection drugs, never had an STD that I do not need to be tested for HIV?

Condoms have never been safe thats why there was so many pregnancies. Its better to not have sex at all or just masterbation. i also feel all hiv positive people should not be allowed to spread hiv.

Correct. HIV does not get transmitted through a condom which has been properly and successfully used ie with no slip or break.

Nice of you to admit you're a wanker but it's fairly obvious to us all anyway

I don't know I have been trying to figure that out myself, I had sex 2 weeks ago with a condom that did not break and did not slip, I held the ring of the condom as I pulled out, the condom did not seem to be damaged and I noticed no blood, then a week later and still today I have experienced almost every symptom of acute infection. I am scared to get tested. Do not know what else it could be.

The symptoms of ARS are the same as the flu or even mono. It is most likely something as common as that. If it will ease your mind, get tested, but I am sure you are both fine.
