Does anyone know if KS lesions appear and disappear spontaneously? I noticed a red-purple mark(looks like little blood blisters) on my leg less than one/half inch. I noticed it about 4 1/2 years ago. It disappeared so I did't think anything of it and recently it is back again. I put some wart remover on it and it appears to be much lighter pinkish now. I tested negative in 2000 and now again this year. I have heard that they do no disappear without treatment. Any ideas??

While people who aren't HIV postive and aren't elderly can get it, that's quite rare.
KS lesions don't come and go. If you first noticed your purple spots showed up 4.5 years ago, it's a good bet they aren't KS. I think anybody with Cancer for 4.5 years would have been sick enough to be into the doctor and have been diagnosised with it.
More than likely they aren't anything to be concerned about, but the best way to find out what they are is to see a dermatologist.

Thanks Jackie. I did go to the doctor about 2 years ago when it started to fade and he wasn't concerned. It is a weird looking thing. I feel better knowing that it goes away on its own and hasn't spread anywhere else. Plus I have tested neg numerous times. Just seeing if anyone else had this problem.
