I'm really concerned about something I did.. can someone please help.
I went to Thailand last month where I engaged in stupid activites. I went to a body massage establishment. Anyways, during the course of the body massage the tip of my penis enter the girls vagina. I hurried pulled out and washed the tip of my penis with soap and water. I was wondering if this short time of exposure (less than one second) is considered high risk of HIV transmission (let's just assume the girl has HIV. However I've been told the girls at these establisment are regulary checked for std's and hiv). I went to my doctor and asked him this question but he didn't say anything or suggest anything. I went to a clinic one month after the encounter and had a baseline std test along with HIV tested for. I'm still waiting for the results. I know I got to wait 6 months for the HIV to be accurate but what risk level am I at. Does having soap around the penis before penetration into the vagina help?
Also I notice three tiny light red marks (maybe 1/16" in diameter) on my chest. Is this a sign of a STD or HIV?

I would think your encounter was low risk, not high risk, since you had minimal exposure to body fluids. You don't mention if you had cuts or sores on your penis, which would have increased your risk. I have no idea what the red marks on your chest might be, but I've read that the rash associated with HIV infection is like a "light sunburn". If you haven't had any other symptoms, then I would take that as a good sign.
If you've read this web site, then you know that the way of minimizing your risk is through the correct and consistent use of condoms. Make sure you use them for EVERY encounter in the future, especially in countries where the risk of infection is higher.
Also, I'm quite familiar with Thailand and you shouldn't believe everything you hear. Few of these girls are regularly checked for HIV and even if they did test positive, it's not difficult for them to get fake test results. I believe the infection rate for sex workers in Thailand is around 7% (check http://www.who.org for the latest figures).
Good luck with your test results!

Continuing Along. I had no cuts or sores on my penis. I always use a condom and I did put one on after the body massage

You're at low risk. The material I've read all indicates that the risk of transmission depends on how much body fluid you're exposed to, how long, the number of exposures and the viral load of the person (assuming they are HIV+).
Keep in mind that there are healthcare workers who get pricked with HIV+ blood from needles (direct blood to blood contact) that don't contract the virus. It's not that easy to transmit.
Good luck!

Hi,
I think u are a extremely low risk of infection. U shouldnt worry about it all. The more u get worried & keep a check on symptoms, the more u will get them. Not due to HIV but mental stress. Believe me I too have done that & still trying to calm myself.
But for your peace of mind u can get tested at 3 months, but be confiedient that u are not infected.
We all here pray for each other.
