white spot on tongue

i had a white spot on my tongue for 2-3 days and it went away. i was also sck around that time with the flu. needless to say, i automatcally thought it was HIV. does this occur when you are HIV positive? please write back and let me know. Thank You

1) Why would you automatically think it was HIV? 2) Do you have a reason to be concerned? 3) If you are concerned, there is only ONE way to find out. Test.
There is no way anyone can tell you whether you have HIV or not from what you may consider to be symptoms. For the record. I don't have any idea what a white spot on the tounge would be from. Maybe you irritated it while eating something like say....a potato chip and caught a corner of the chip on your tounge.
Tell me, are you sure you've never had something like that before, but just noticed it for the first time because you have your body under a microscope because you are concerned about HIV?

i always had a rubber on. could it have been from oral sex? because that is the only time i didnt have a rubber on.

White spots on tongue can be recognized as the taste bud to have got swollen and turned into white, causing severe pain all over the tongue. People affected from such white spots over their tongue suffer from an irritation, pain and a burning sensation on consuming spicy and salty foods. Citric edible items also cause an inflammation and pain over the tongue, bearing white spots.
