Just what is the the significance of light night sweats as it relates to HIV? Is this a sign of AIDS advancing, AIDS is here or what? I am a 42 y/o who has only ever has ever protected vaginal intercourse in the last 15 years. I have been with about 40 women in my life. I have not had sex in the last 18 months. I find that I am having insomnia and I jerk awake in the night and I am have lite sweating around the base of my neck and the top of my head. It is very intermittent. I had complete standard blood work done by my doc, who has cleared me of infections and the like ( no swollen nodes, anemia, low WBC etc..)My sedimenation rate and chest Xray were all normal and clear.
Please offer any thoughts you can....My doctors think it is anxiety and emotions based on a very stressful life.
Thanks-

Light night sweats have nothing to do with HIV. People with HIV that experience Night Sweats experience the kind where you need to change the sheets in the middle of the night.

Actually none of the symptoms that are connected with HIV are exclusive to HIV alone. This is what makes it scary because there are so many symptoms that "can" be HIV-related if your told your HIV positive. The list keeps growing for some strange reason. I empathis with those who are obbsessed with hiv as I use to be its hell and very stressfull and can create stress symptoms like niht sweats. This is why it so crucial that one look at the dissident view because it provides healthy solutions to the situation. Night sweats can be a good sin at times meaning your body is trying to get rid of toxins...

How are night sweats realted to HIV? Do they come at any time after infection, or do they happen as one is progressing to actual AIDS? I have not had any sex in 18 months.
