Guys: is an early generation test like HA good at 6 months even though it is only a first generation? Why are health dept.s and anon. testing places still using such old tests?? Can we really believe their results? I went their to avoid an HIV test showing on my med record but now I'm afraid I made the wrong choice!!!

That'a accurate from what I have read also. Be aware that the majority of the large USA labs Quest, Labcorp use 1st Generation tests as their STANDARD antibody testing method. If you want 3rd Generation ask for the HIV 1/2 test which normally uses 3rd Gen technology. Home Access does not provide you with 3rd Generation and you would have to either go directly at a lab that does or to your DR. Good Luck
