hi, i posted the message "rapid testing". i am female and had unprotected vaginal sex - no oral. the guy did not cum inside of me - he pulled out but i dont know about his precum. i had to go to the doctor the next week because my vagina burnt and it turns out that he gave me herpes. he claims he doesnt have herpes or hiv - this was out first and last date.i am so flipped out that i just got the nerve to go for a rapid hiv suds elisa test which came back negative - thank g-d!. i took this test 3 days ago which was exactly 52 days after my encounter with possible precum of unkown status (7 weeks and 2 days). i know the time frame is 3 months for testing but i couldnt wait - i am going crazy! the doctor said that 96% of all people would show infection by 4-6 weeks and i read on the body.com site that the average person shows by 28 days. can someone please tell me if they think chances are good that i dont have hiv (if the guy even has it) from his precum? can precum infect you alone from a 1 time exposure? i am so scared, i cant eat or sleep and i cant wait until the next test in 5 weeks - i may have to have another rapid test done before then - someone please speak to me. please write back!

I know exactly how you feel,7 week neg test is good ,but as everyone say's you need your 3 month test.If i were you i wouldn't test again until 3 months as the waiting for results drives you crazy and you will need another one at 3 months anyway, hang in there and best of luck.
