USA have the worst Hotline

CDC´s HIV hotline are the worlds worst Hotline, They do not give you straight fact about HIV. What type of person workes in these hotlines? Do they have a medical backgroud? I doubt that. In my country we only approve nurses to answer questions in our Hotline and the Hotline have 40 HIV specialists and our Hotline educate all Hotlines in Europe. Save money and sanity-Shut down the CDC Hotline! Why have person that don´t know anything about HIV answering worried peoples questions? Read a paper we all can do why do you need a hotline to read the same papers for you? If you call a Hotline you need to talk to educated specialists in this subject not person who read guidlines papers. I have read that CDC are a $3 billion government agency and I would say that you could save lots of money if shut down this crappy agency!

I wouldn't go THAT far, but the info that they give on the phone is often different from what their actual policy is. So, a better idea might be to have more knowledgeable people answering the phone. They should AT LEAST know their own guidelines. We do need the CDC, but maybe we could do without their HIV hotline.
