Window period
      #33249 - 04/29/02 05:59 AM

If someone is infected with a non b subtype such as A or F, how long would the window period be? Longer? Anyone know of any studies done to determine this? I read a post a few days back where someone said that researchers used 3rd Generatio Elisas in AFrica and there was no improvment in the window period for non b subtypes? Is this true? If the window period is longer for these subtypes, how much longer is it? Thanks

If they had to go to Africa to do a study on it, what the phuck are you worried about? Have you been to africa lately? Don't you think they know what to test for in the U.S.? Let "them" worry about what strains people here need to be tested for, and follow their guidelines. What is so damn complicated?
