Jackie,Jade,Gregg,Gman, anyone know whats goin on with the tingling and numbing hands and fingers. As you all know ive had all the symptoms everyone else has, i thought i was the only one with this numbing problem but there seems to be more of this happening,I know you can get it from hiv drugs but as you know ive tested neg at 3 and 4 months. At first i thought it could be from spending so much time on this computor, but im not the greatist typer and i only use one hand and i get this in both not always but just about every day or so for the last 3 months.I know you all probably think im nutz, maybe but im going for another test next week it will be 23 weeks.I respect you all but these symptoms are gettin the best of me.does anyone have any ideas about this numbing,i appreciate any answer thanks everyone.

Dont have any idea what is causing the tingling i too am experiencing tingling and numbness in my pinky finger on my right hand. I have read that PN starts in the feet and toes and sometimes makes its way to the hands. So as to what we are experiencing i dont know stress maybe i seriously doubt it, its confusing to me too it is there when i wake and all day long maybe focusing on it more makes it worse i dont know but whatever is causing it it wasnt part of my life b4 Feb9 the dreaded day of my encounter, and it didnt start until about a week ago almost 2 1/2 months later.

Why would we think your nuts? Almost everyone who visits this board will test out to 6 months anyways. As for the tingling and numbess, Im not sure what could be causing it.Im sure a lot of people get this but dont pay attention to it because theres no reason for them to suspect anything serious like HIV. I think the symptoms you describe occur in the late stages of HIV and are usually caused by meds. I tested negative at 6 months and ive had thos symptoms. Although i got it first in my toes then soles of feet as well as my right hand and fingers. last for a few weeks. Im not sure what could have caused mine. Could be so many thing that arent serious. Although like you i read about peripheral neuropathy and freaked out. Anyways your 4 month tests tells you that its very unlikely to be HIV. Good Luck bud.

I've got the tingling too, my B12 was normal so I dont know what it is. But like previous post I didnt have it before the encounter. Started a couple months after. I am starting a tricyclant antidepressant through and it helps-

this is definitely the worst time of my life i feel as though it is never going to end, and if i does the result is going to be bad, but we have to hope and pray for the best, i myself have had way to many symptoms for it to be just unexplained. I dont know i just hope it is not HIV causing these things. lets all keep in touvh my 90 marker is is May the 9th

Really upset I have had these sensations too. In both hand and most severe in the pinky fingers. Could this be stress

Everybody has numbness and tingling, mysterious pains, unexplained illnesses from time to time. It's odd how when you have been exposed (or think that you have) to HIV, you automatically assume it's HIV-related. Confused, you have been on this board long enough to see that "symtoms" mean jack when your HIV tests are negative. It will be great when you get your 23 week negative and you can forget about HIV. I'm not saying that you are crazy, but I bet that your "symptoms" disappear when you hear that you are negative at 6 months. Like someone else said, the mind is very powerful, and you can find all kinds of weird symptoms when you are looking for them. Good luck.
