Has there been a study to see if people have gotten infected from shower stalls or hot tubs ?

Known ways of transmission are:
Sharing needles with someone infected - transfusions before 1985 - unprotected anal, vaginal and MAYBE oral sex - mother to child - breastfeeding.

No I don't think a study has been done. There is no need for one. In over 20 years they have a very good handle on how HIV is transmitted. Catching HIV from shower stalls or hot tubs does not fit into any of the proven ways someone can get infected.
Check out the Safe Sex and Prevention Q&A. I've seen people ask if they can catch it from tubs, hot tubs, shower stalls, benches at those adult movie places, etc. In all cases they are told...it doesn't happen.
